Budawang School

Budawang School is extremely fortunate to be a part of such a well informed and generous community, and we consider the MGoals project to be a wonderful way to share Aboriginal culture across an even wider audience. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with other schools to improve our own practice.

The Wandarma Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) is the driving force behind many of the activities that inspire the sharing of Aboriginal culture in our school. Another very strong influence comes from the Budawang School Aboriginal Education Committee, which is a group of Aboriginal parents and carers who meet once each month to have a chat and plan new events. In addition to these two very important contributors, we have the interest and initiative of our local teachers and learning support officers, who have a clear understanding of the need to improve the educational outcomes of Aboriginal students within our school and across the country, and who work together to promote Aboriginal experiences for all students in the Milton Ulladulla Learning Community.

These three forces work together to create some remarkable experiences, some of which we can share with you on our pages. We hope you enjoy seeing the wonderful learning that occurs when students engage in learning more about this ancient and living culture.
